Blackbuck National Park at Velavadar near Bhavnagar district of Gujarat in India is an unique grassland ecosystem, primarilty declared a national park for saving blackbucks. Every year to escape unsuitable weather conditions, birds from Siberia, Europe and central asia flee to velvadar national park. Blackbuck National Park’s wetland, a smaller area in the southern part of the total area, attracts migratory birds like flamingos, pelicans, waders, ducks, white storks, coots, sarus cranes and painted storks to name a few. A heaven for birders, velavadar also records birds like common cranes, demoiselle cranes and raptors like certag spotted eagles and steppe eagles.

Indian Wolf lacks the winter fur coat of the Himalayan wolf and is of intermediate size compared to arabian wolf and Himalayan wolf. Indian wolves travel in smaller packs and is reputed for the cunning nature.
